002: Introductions – Introducciones

Ana walks into her new office for the first time. She is nervous but excited to meet her new colleagues. A man at the desk looks up and smiles at her.
Ana entra en su nueva oficina por primera vez. Está nerviosa pero emocionada de conocer a sus nuevos compañeros. Un hombre en el escritorio la mira y le sonríe.
The man stands up and says, You must be the new employee! My name is Roberto. Welcome to the team! Ana shakes his hand and says, Thank you! I'm Ana. It's nice to meet you.
El hombre se pone de pie y dice, ¡Debes ser el nuevo empleado! Mi nombre es Roberto. ¡Bienvenido al equipo! Ana le estrecha la mano y dice, ¡Gracias! Soy Ana. Mucho gusto.
A woman named Lucia walks over and introduces herself. She says, Hello! I'm Lucia, the team leader. How are you? Ana replies, I'm fine, thank you. I'm happy to be here.
Una mujer llamada Lucía se acerca y se presenta. Dice, ¡Hola! Soy Lucía, la líder del equipo. ¿Cómo estás? Ana responde, Estoy bien, gracias. Estoy feliz de estar aquí.
Roberto points to a desk and says, This is your workspace. Ana sits down and looks at her computer. She sees a welcome note on the screen from the manager.
Roberto señala un escritorio y dice, Este es tu espacio de trabajo. Ana se sienta y mira su ordenador. Ve una nota de bienvenida en la pantalla del gerente.
Lucia asks, Where are you from, Ana? Ana smiles and says, I'm from Madrid, but I lived in Barcelona for five years. Lucia nods and says, What a beautiful city!
Lucía pregunta, ¿De dónde eres, Ana? Ana sonríe y dice, Soy de Madrid, pero viví en Barcelona durante cinco años. Lucía asiente y dice, ¡Qué ciudad tan hermosa!
Another colleague named Miguel joins the conversation. He says, Welcome to the company! I hope you like it here. Ana says, Thank you, Miguel. I'm sure I will!
Otro compañero llamado Miguel se une a la conversación. Dice, ¡Bienvenido a la empresa! Espero que te gustes aquí. Ana dice, Gracias, Miguel. ¡Estoy seguro de que me gustará!
Lucia shows Ana around the office. She points to the kitchen and the meeting rooms. Ana follows her and listens carefully. There is also a small garden where employees can relax.
Lucía le muestra la oficina a Ana. Señala la cocina y las salas de reuniones. Ana la sigue y escucha con atención. También hay un pequeño jardín donde los empleados pueden relajarse.
After the tour, Ana returns to her desk. She is happy to have such friendly colleagues. She thinks this new job will be a great experience.
Después del recorrido, Ana vuelve a su escritorio. Está feliz de tener colegas tan amigables. Cree que este nuevo trabajo será una gran experiencia.
By the end of the day, Ana knows everyone in her team. She feels part of the group already. Making introductions was not difficult at all.
Para el final del día, Ana conoce a todos en su equipo. Ya se siente parte del grupo. Hacer introducciones no fue difícil en absoluto.
