Mr. Popescu wakes up early every morning at six o'clock. He makes himself a cup of tea and sits by the window. He watches the sunrise and enjoys the quiet morning.
Domnul Popescu se trezește devreme în fiecare dimineață la ora șase. El își face o ceașcă de ceai și stă lângă fereastră. El privește răsăritul și se bucură de dimineața liniștită.
After breakfast he puts on his comfortable shoes and goes for a walk in the park. The fresh air is good for his health. He meets other seniors there and they greet each other warmly.
După micul dejun își pune pantofii comozi și merge la o plimbare în parc. Aerul proaspăt este bun pentru sănătatea lui. El întâlnește alți seniori acolo și se salută călduros.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays he has a chess club at the community centre. He plays against his old friend Vasile. They have been playing together for over ten years.
Marțea și joia are un club de șah la centrul comunitar. El joacă împotriva prietenului lui vechi Vasile. Ei joacă împreună de peste zece ani.
In the afternoons he likes to read books from the local library. He enjoys history novels and newspapers. The librarian knows him well and always recommends interesting titles.
După-amiezele îi place să citească cărți de la biblioteca locală. El se bucură de romane istorice și ziare. Bibliotecara îl cunoaște bine și îi recomandă întotdeauna titluri interesante.
Sometimes his granddaughter comes to visit after school. She helps him use his tablet and shows him new applications. He is learning to send messages and make video calls.
Uneori nepoata lui vine în vizită după școală. Ea îl ajută să folosească tableta și îi arată aplicații noi. El învață să trimită mesaje și să facă apeluri video.
On Saturdays his son and daughter-in-law come for lunch. They bring homemade food and the grandchildren run around the garden. Mr. Popescu loves these family gatherings.
Sâmbăta fiul și nora lui vin la prânz. Ei aduc mâncare făcută în casă și nepoții aleargă prin grădină. Domnul Popescu iubește aceste întâlniri de familie.
He also has a small garden where he grows tomatoes and flowers. Working in the garden keeps him active and happy. He shares his vegetables with his neighbours.
El are și o grădină mică unde cultivă roșii și flori. Munca în grădină îl ține activ și fericit. El împarte legumele lui cu vecinii.
In the evening he watches the news on television. He likes to stay informed about what happens in the country. After that he listens to classical music on the radio.
Seara se uită la știri la televizor. Îi place să rămână informat despre ce se întâmplă în țară. După aceea ascultă muzică clasică la radio.
Before bed he writes in his diary about the day. He records small moments that made him smile. He believes that keeping a diary helps him remember the good times.
Înainte de culcare scrie în jurnalul lui despre ziua respectivă. El înregistrează momente mici care l-au făcut să zâmbească. El crede că ținerea unui jurnal îl ajută să își amintească momentele bune.
Mr. Popescu is grateful for his simple and peaceful life. He has good health, loving family, and true friends. He knows that happiness comes from small everyday things.
Domnul Popescu este recunoscător pentru viața lui simplă și liniștită. El are sănătate bună, familie iubitoare și prieteni adevărați. El știe că fericirea vine din lucrurile mici de fiecare zi.
