Maria has an appointment at the town hall on Monday morning. She needs to renew her identity card. She takes all the required documents and puts them in a folder.
Maria are o programare la primărie luni dimineața. Trebuie să își reînnoiască cartea de identitate. Ea ia toate documentele necesare și le pune într-un dosar.
When she arrives, there is already a queue of people. She takes a number and sits on a plastic chair in the waiting area. The number on the screen is far behind hers.
Când ajunge, este deja o coadă de oameni. Ea ia un număr și se așază pe un scaun de plastic în zona de așteptare. Numărul de pe ecran este mult în urma ei.
After forty minutes her number finally appears. She walks to window five and hands her papers to the clerk. The woman behind the desk checks everything carefully.
După patruzeci de minute numărul ei apare în sfârșit. Ea merge la ghișeul cinci și înmânează actele funcționarei. Femeia de la birou verifică totul cu atenție.
The clerk tells Maria that one form is missing a signature. Maria signs it quickly and hands it back. The woman stamps the papers and gives her a receipt.
Funcționara îi spune Mariei că unui formular îi lipsește o semnătură. Maria îl semnează rapid și îl înapoiază. Femeia ștampilează actele și îi dă o chitanță.
At her office, Maria has a lot of emails to answer. Her boss asks her to prepare a report by Friday. She opens her laptop and starts working immediately.

During lunch break she goes to the bank across the street. She needs to pay the electricity bill and check her account balance. The bank is busy but the queue moves fast.

In the afternoon there is a team meeting in the conference room. They discuss a new project and share ideas. Maria suggests a simple solution that everyone likes.

Before leaving the office, Maria prints the report and puts it on her boss's desk. She checks her calendar for the next day. She has two meetings and a phone call scheduled.
Înainte să plece de la birou, Maria tipărește raportul și îl pune pe biroul șefului ei. Ea verifică calendarul pentru ziua următoare. Are două ședințe și un apel telefonic programate.
On her way home she stops at the post office. She needs to send a package to her sister in another city. The postal worker weighs it and tells her the price.

When Maria finally gets home, she is tired but satisfied. She made a cup of tea and sat on the sofa. Tomorrow will be another busy day but she feels ready for it.
Când Maria ajunge acasă în sfârșit, este obosită dar mulțumită. Ea își face o ceașcă de ceai și se așază pe canapea. Mâine va fi o altă zi aglomerată dar se simte pregătită.
