105: The First Day at Work – O Primeiro Dia de Trabalho

Maria's first day at the new company began very early. She woke up at six in the morning and was very excited. After two months of job searching, she had finally found a job, working as a sales assistant at an international company.
O primeiro dia da Maria na nova empresa começou muito cedo. Acordou às seis da manhã e estava muito animada. Após dois meses de procura de emprego, finalmente encontrou um trabalho, a trabalhar como assistente de vendas numa empresa internacional.
She put on her new business clothes, which she had bought at the weekend. The blue skirt and white blouse looked professional. She had a quick breakfast at home and left the apartment at seven o'clock.

As Maria went home in the evening, she was tired but satisfied. The first day had gone much better than she had expected. The colleagues were friendly, the work was interesting, and she already felt like part of the team.

When she arrived home, she called her mother to tell her about her first day. Mum, it was wonderful! I can hardly wait to go again tomorrow, she said happily. Her mother was very proud of her.
